Non-Drip Condensation Control
Non-drip is an unwoven fabric membrane that is adhered to the underside of our profiled metal roof sheet, to prevent dripping of any condensation that may have formed on it.
Non-drip is an ideal solution for uninsulated single skin metal roofs for effective control of condensation dripping from the underside of the roof sheet. The non-drip membrane can be applied to the reverse side of all our coating types and is adhered during the rollforming process. The sheets will be delivered to site, ready to fit straight to the roof.

Condensation can form on the underside of single skin metal roofs, as the warm air inside the building rises and then cools when it comes in to contact with the cold metal surface. The non-drip fleece absorbs any condensation that is formed, holding the droplets of water within the fibres of the membrane to prevent dripping to the surface below. The condensation is controlled cyclically, whereby the moisture evaporates back in to the air in the form of normal humidity when the temperature rises. For this process to be effective, it is important that there is some air circulation in the form of adequate ventilation to be present.
Adequate ventilation and roof design is critical for correct functioning of the non-drip product – the eaves and ridge must be left open for air circulation to occur. If the building requires these junctions to be sealed, then an alternative insulated roof system should be considered.
